La Granada – Latin Kitchen

La Granada – Latin Kitchen

Throughout our married life, Baldo and I have always found joy in serving others, especially preparing food and sharing it with those we love. This is a way for us to show our appreciation and care. Serving food to others has been part of our life and service, yet we never dreamed of having a restaurant open to the public. This opportunity came unexpectedly. After serving as missionaries in Mexico City for five years, we came back to Eugene in the middle of the recession. Baldo’s former company had closed and there was little employment opportunity. Eventually, I took a couple of part time jobs, while Baldo worked for a maintenance company and offered yard services. During one of his maintenance jobs, he fell off the roof and shattered his heel, which left him in unable to work. While he stayed home, he polished his cooking abilities and, in the process, discovered his passion for cooking.

Every item in the menu is hand-picked by Baldo and has been developed to perfection to match his demanding taste. Every dish has its history in Baldo’s book of cooking and he is always bringing in new dishes from different countries. . We continue to serve traditional authentic food from Latin American countries like Peru, Argentina, and Mexico.
