Q: At what age should a child come in for their orthodontic well check?
A: The American Association of Orthodontics recommends that a child at age 7 has their first orthodontic well check. That does not necessarily mean they need braces, Dr. Grieve checks the growth and development of your child.
Q: Do I have to have a referral from my dentist or pediatrician to bring my child in for a orthodontic evaluation?
A: No you do not need a referral, Dr. Grieve offers a complimentary orthodontic evaluation. Dr. Grieve then sends an evaluation letter to your dentist.
Q: Some people think you do not see the Orthodontist until all of your child’s permanent teeth are in. Is that true?
A: Although some children will not have braces until all of their permanent teeth are in, many children that come in our office have other Orthodontic concerns. Bite correction, (overbite, underbite, crossbite) are best addressed when the child is younger and growing. Dr. Grieve works with his in house lab to make custom orthodontic appliance to address these issues.
Q: I have been told Invisalign will not work for my teeth, why?
A: Not all Orthodontists are familiar or have worked with Invisalign as much as Dr. Grieve has. Due to the advancement of computer technology, Invisalign has come a long way since it first was introduced in to the market. Dr. Grieve looks at traditional metal brackets, clear brackets or Invisalign as his tools. He is the best at what he does, and the best way to know if it will or will not work for you is to come see him for a complimentary evaluation.
Q: I’m worried about how I’m going to pay for my child’s braces.
A: Dr. Grieve never wants finances to stand in the way of a beautiful smile. Dr. Grieve offers in house, 0% financing and is flexible with payments. Best thing to do is have a complimentary consultation and our Treatment Coordinator, Amber, and see how we can help you get the smile that you love.
Q: I’m not happy with my smile, but as an adult…I would feel silly getting Braces.
A: We accept all ages in our office, and many of our patients are adults. Many adults have been excited, and found success with Invisalign. Dr. Grieve is the #1 Invisalign provider in Eugene and loves helping children AND adults have a fantastic smile!
